该计划旨在为对经济学有浓厚兴趣的学生
提供扎实的经济学和分析培训。
基于微观经济学，宏观经济学和计量经济学在内的经济学知识，
对经济问题有深刻的了解。
具备优化方法和经济见识，
以构建分析经济和商业问题的理论模型。
具有计量经济学的技能和知识，可以进行经验分析，
从而可以帮助政府或企业制定决策。
能够有效地将经济直觉或经验分析中的预测传达给学术界和私营部门
为学生提供扎实的经济学和分析培训，
以使他们为进一步攻读经济学，金融，市场营销，管理等方面的更高学位做好准备。

三入学要求：

1、applicants should have obtained a bachelor＇s degree from a university or tertiary institution. strong quantitative background and a commitment to academic study and research are expected

2、applicants are strongly advised to include gre/gmat result in their applications.

interviews are tentative and only shortlisted applicants may be invited.

3 雅思要求： 总分6.5，小分5.5

topics in economic analysis of institutions

msc project ﹙optional; 4 credits﹚

students may take a 4-credit msc project ﹙econ 6950﹚ as an elective to fulfill the program requirement. the project should be carried out under the supervision of a faculty member in the department of economics. the final report will be read by two faculty members, one of whom is the supervisor.

research preparation concentration

students who want to better prepare themselves for pursuing further studies are given an option to extend one more term to complete a research preparation concentration. to opt for the concentration, students are required to complete at least 36 credits, including 15 credits of core courses and minimum 15 credits of elective courses, of which 6 credits must be at phd level; plus a 6-credit independent project ﹙econ 6980﹚.
