f-1 visa compliant and stem designated means this program meets strict curriculum guidelines established by the u.s. department of homeland security. if you complete the program as an international student, you’ll be able to apply for a stem extension to your optional practical training ﹙opt﹚, allowing you to work in the united states after graduation for up to 36 months instead of just 12.
