一，专业简介：

言语-语言病理学（speech pathology 一SLP)是一门研究儿童与成人沟通障碍和吞咽障碍的综合性的学科。其中，沟通障碍包含七大分支，分别为语言障碍、言语障碍、语畅障碍、认知障碍、嗓音障碍、共鸣障碍、和听力障碍。吞咽障碍包括儿童与成人吞咽障碍与儿童喂食障碍。

美国培生听力语言中心言语-语言专业部门孙斯扬老师介绍，儿童语言障碍是最常见的儿童发育障碍之一，对临床专业人士而言，这是机遇也是挑战。言语语言病理学科在北美已有近百年的历史，而在中国则仍处于起步阶段，国内暨需具备儿童语言障碍诊治经验和资质的专业人士。2013年，教育部本科目录调整，正式成立言语听力本科专业，而目前绝大多数言语语言治疗师仍需通过相关的培训、进修等渠道提升专业水平，因此，与国际接轨的、融合国外前沿理论、实践与临床工具的专业培训是必不可少的。

中国言语-语言治疗行业有着巨大的发展前景。

公众对于言语-语言治疗的认知在逐步提高。尤其是近几年一些讲述特殊人群的影视作品不断出现，比如《海洋天堂》中自闭症病人的故事，使得公众对特殊人群有了更多关注。同时，随着中国政府更大程度上地关心公民的生活质量，会有更多的资源投入到这个行业。大环境为中国的言语-语言治疗行业提供了前所未有的良好机遇。与此同时，这些关注也对语言-言语治疗行业，尤其是对特殊人群的深入研究和有效治疗，提出了更高的要求。

美国东北大学言语病理学硕士先修课程要求：

• At least one course in the Biological Sciences – Biology, human anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, human genetics, and veterinary science are all possible options to meet this prerequisite. Other courses classified as biological science at the applicant’s degree granting institution willmeet this prerequisite. A lab is not required.
• At least one course in the Physical Sciences – Physics or chemistry is preferred to meet this prerequisite. Other courses classified as physical science at the applicant’s degree granting institution will meet this prerequisite. A lab is not required.
• At least one course in Statistics – The course must be an actual statistics course and not a research methods course; it does not need to be a CSD statistics course.
• At least one course in the Social/Behavioral Sciences – Courses in psychology, sociology, anthropology, or education are all possible options to meet this prerequisite.

These courses may be taken at any accredited university in a face-to-face or online format.

由于研究对象（包括先天的和后天的）如发音器官的伤残和运动神经的紊乱等不同，在学科上经常划分为言语缺陷的矫治和言语失常的恢复两大类。前者偏重于生理解剖，而后者则着重神经心理。这本来都属于医学范围，但因其都以恢复正常言语为目的，同时有许多工作如器官缺陷在手术后的发音矫正，言语失常在治疗中的说话锻炼，都需要语言学和实验语音学的知识，因此现代语言学中也常把这门学科列为研究项目。

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern brings together researchers studying mechanisms and disorders of communication in an interdisciplinary setting. We investigate basic and clinical aspects of speech, language, learning, hearing, and swallowing. Our disciplines span physics, engineering, physiology, neuroscience, linguistics, biology, psychology, cognitive science, and education. Our investigations range from the level of molecules to clinical trials.

The PhD program is designed to prepare the next generation of leaders in the field by providing coursework and in-depth research experience. Developing critical thinking, scientific writing, publishing, and grant-writing skills are major emphases throughout the program. Opportunities are available to develop skills through training in related areas such as statistics, programming, big data/data science, teaching, and clinical training in audiology (PhD-AuD). Students are prepared for careers in academia as well as industry, policy, and clinical practice.
