伦斯勒理工学院，中国教育部官方名称：仁斯利尔理工大学，英文名Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute，简称RPI，为全美顶尖理工大学，美国东部高等学府，位于美国纽约州首府奥尔巴尼附近的特洛伊（Troy），距离纽约267公里（166英里），离波士顿275公里（172英里）。该校由当时的美国首富，纽约州副总督斯蒂芬·万·伦斯勒先生于1824年创办，是美国，乃至英语系国家历史上第一所理工科大学，也是美国25所“新常春藤盟校”之一。伦斯勒理工被誉为美国理工科教育的基石，从这儿走出来的学生后来建立了包括麻省理工学院，耶鲁大学雪菲尔德科学学院，以及几乎后来美国所有的科学学术研究机构。而二战期间该校是美国军队的重要研究和教育机构，培养了大批人才。在2017年USNews美国大学排行榜上，伦斯勒理工学院排第39名。

Here are the additional supporting documents needed to complete your application. All items are required to complete your file no matter which application you use to apply. Rensselaer does not offer evaluative interviews as a part of the application process.

伦斯勒理工不提供面试

All standardized tests must be taken by December 31 (by November 30 for Physician-Scientist Program/accelerated medical program applicants).

· If you take multiple tests, Rensselaer will superscore the SAT, but will consider only the highest composite score on the ACT.

· Rensselaer does not require the writing section of the SAT or the ACT, except for accelerated law/medical program applicants (see below).

· SAT Subject tests are not required, except for some accelerated program applicants (see below)

The TOEFL is required for all non-native English speakers, and Rensselaer expects a minimum TOEFL score of at least 88 iBT, or 570 PBT. Rensselaer requires that official scores be sent directly from the testing agency; self-reported scores will not be accepted.

For students not able to take the TOEFL, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Pearson’s Test of English (PTE) may be substituted for the TOEFL. An IELTS score of at least 7.0 or a PTE score of at least 59 is expected. Only the academic format is accepted. Other exams, such as A-levels, IB, etc., may not be substituted for the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE.

Applicants who have completed three or more years of secondary education in the U.S. may request an exemption once they have submitted their application by completing the form found on their application status page. Students MUST use this form to request an exemption; email requests will not be accepted.
